Concert at the Museum: Performer Spotlight

Time is running out to register for the Concert at the Museum, all registrations are due by the end of business next Friday, September 29, 2023! The Concert at the Museum will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Scottish Rite Museum in Lexington, Massachusetts. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with the concert going from 7:00 p.m. ~ 8:30 p.m. It is an adult-only, black-tie event. The Deputy for Massachusetts, Ill∴ Scott D. Inglis, 33°, and his wife will be there attending!  All participants must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are $50 per person and are limited to 300, so don’t wait, register today!

Another one of our performers is Cynthia López, a Xicana soprano originally from Los Angeles, California. Ms. López-Pérez’s recent performances include Natalia (Caravana de Mujeres), Maria (West Side Story), and Mimì (La bohème) with MassOpera; Leonore (Fidelio) with Promenade Opera Project; Despina (Così fan tutte) and Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites) with Boston Conservatory Opera; Nannetta (Falstaff) with Martina Arroyo Prelude to Performance; and Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) with The Ohio State University Lyric and Opera Theater.

Ms. López-Pérez completed her graduate studies at Boston Conservatory, where she received the Yolanda Cerreta Pangaro Scholarship, earning her degree in Opera Performance under Dr. Rebecca Folsom. Ms. López-Pérez has enjoyed working with local companies such as MassOpera, NEMPAC Opera Project, Promenade Opera Project, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Odyssey Opera, and OperaHub. Her upcoming engagements include “Soul Echoes”, a music collaboration presenting works by J.E. Hernández with Project Amplify, a non-profit dedicated to protecting child migrants in government care, “Forever in a Dream”, a recital showcasing works by Felix Jarrar and Susanna from Le nozze di Figaro with NEMPAC Opera Project. 

As an arts advocate, she has had the pleasure of combining her work as a professional in the arts with her passion for advocacy through concert work, lectures, panel discussions, community outreach, and philanthropy.
