Last Call for the Fall Class

This is your last chance to register for the Fall Class, all registrations must be in by the end of the day TODAY!
The Fall Class will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Grand Lodge in Boston, and doors will open at 6:30 a.m. sharp. It is a great time to see your Scottish Rite Brothers from around the state, catch up on degrees, and more! Our production and degree teams are hard at work memorizing parts for the show, and as always we’ll have Crest Family Catering supply breakfast, lunch, and drinks throughout the day. Thursday Night at the Rite Season 6
|
Are you still looking for that one rare degree to finish your passport? Your chance could be here, as the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction has recently announced the return of Thursday Night at the Rite! This program, now in its sixth season, allows brothers to both join Scottish Rite and view rarer degrees all from the comfort of their home. Though inspired from the midst of the pandemic, Thursday Night at the Rite has become a staple across the jurisdiction during the winter months.

The Federalist Papers Begin Publication
|
Two hundred thirty-seven years ago today a mysterious series of essays began flooding the New York Press arguing why the people should ratify the newly proposed Constitution of the United States under the name Publius. Astute viewers now recognize these as The Federalist Papers, written not by a man named Publius, but by John Jay, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton. Though there is much to be said about the utility of whether our Constitution should be viewed through the lens of history or as a living document that catches up with society, The Federalist Papers proved an important tool of persuasion to the people of New York for ratification, and still are used today by scholars, judges, history teachers, and musical writers alike.
